L-test
At CAS we teach using the CAS OT programme which is a 3 tier system. When a student starts they set up a username and password to gain access to our one of a kind online training programme.
- step 1: The student watches the briefing which is a flash animation to get an understanding the theory of the driving skill.
- step 2: The student watches the demonstration video to see the driving skill in action.
- step 3: The student practices the driving skill with a fully trained CAS Instructor.
At the early stages of the student training the student is talked through the skills they have not yet learned but with
the OT programme the student can study the driving skill at home so the next time they come for a lesson they will have a greater
understanding of the driving skill. This programme can drastically reduce the amount of lessons required as we have found
the more studying the student does at home the quicker they progress. The programme also works at the later stage as a reminder
of procedure. If the student can get private practice we recommend the accompanying driver looks at the online lessons to
familiarise themselves with what both the instructor and the examiner is looking for.

Pass plus
When a student passes there test they can take part in the pass plus scheme. The pass plus scheme is split into 6 modules covering:
- Driving in town
- Driving in all weathers
- Driving on rural roads
- Driving at night
- Driving on dual carriageways
- Driving on motorways
There is no exam to sit you are continually assessed over at least 6 hours. The pass plus scheme will give you greater
driving skills but also will reduce your insurance premiums from selected insurers.

Refresher/advanced training
Whether you are too nervous to drive your own car or would just like some refresher lessons on skills such as
motorway driving, country road driving, city driving etc CAS can help. We will work out a customised programme for
whatever you want to learn and work at a pace which suits you. We also do advanced driving for anyone who simply wants
to improve their skills.
